First STEAM curriculum launched with new 3D printing education platform

The world’s leading desktop and educational 3D printer manufacturer, XYZprinting, has today announced the launch of their new 3D printing education platform. The STEAM Curricula platform will help to educate children of all ages on how to use 3D printers and 3D software, with a range aimed at all levels of ability.

The XYZprinting STEAM Education platform is a 3D printing technology-based curriculum, which is designed to help teachers and students learn the STEAM principles through 3D Printing. XYZprinting provides complete solutions for every classroom environment. Their unique online curriculum will show, step-by-step, how to deliver an engaging STEAM-based lesson, using child-centric 3D software and 3D printers along the way.

The curriculum packages will be divided into age brackets for ages 5-11, 11-14 and 14-18. The content in each age category will be relevant across different subjects, allowing children to experience the applications of 3D design in different areas of their education.

XYZprinting will also be offering a variety of bundles to cater to school budgets. All packages will contain the STEAM curricula and access to the XYZgallery from which users can download 3D model designs.

The basic packages will contain 3D printers and XYZprinting’s comprehensive 3D modelling software, XYZmaker, while more advanced packages will also include 3D Scanners and 3D Pens. There are a range of different products from just the curricula to a range of printers and other 3D printing accessories with the curricula.
