FEA appoint new Curriculum Consultant to deliver success

LEADING Further Education (FE) consultancy FEA have appointed Darran Marks to the role of Curriculum Consultant, supporting departments to deliver success.

 

FEA support senior FE leadership to overcome sector challenges through consultation and collaboration, delivering strategies and operational plans for long-term change.

 

Darran joins FEA from Newbury College, Berks., where he was Curriculum Manager for the Technology Department.

 

It will be his role to go into college departments for periods of up to a year to support their aims of raising standards, both to Ofsted measurements and aiding in-house staff development.

 

Darran said: “I have a real passion for improving the way construction and engineering are taught at FE level.

 

“The teaching going on in providers across the country is the foundation of our workforce, providing skills the whole country relies on.

 

“So it’s right we have have high expectations for good teaching and learning, and I’m looking forward to bringing a practical skill set to that mission.”

 

Darran began with FEA on October 17.

 

FEA Joint Chief Executive Matt Atkinson said: “Darran impressed everyone immediately with his range of experience and infectious ambition to see improvement happen. It’s great to have him on board.”
