Subjects studied in deep dives

A deep dive involves gathering evidence on the curriculum intent, implementation and impact over a sample of subjects, topics or aspects.

Inspectors record information on subject deep dives, completed during inspection, in our internal inspection evidence gathering system. We use a pattern match search to extract the number completed and the subjects of deep dives from this system. This method is an estimate and may result in some under-counting of the number of deep dives completed but is unlikely to over-count the number of deep dives.
