Strategic partnership is a first for Hafod and Cardiff and Vale College

Cardiff and Vale College and Hafod have announced a key partnership which will ensure Hafod’s employees have access to a wide range of training and courses.

The partnership is a first between the college and a housing, support and care provider and forms part of Hafod’s commitment to career development.

Hafod employ over 1,200 staff across a wide range of roles and prides itself on having a skilled and dedicated workforce. Supporting colleagues to be the best they can be ensures Hafod delivers the best customer service and fulfils the organisation’s mission of Making Lives Better.

The agreement, signed by Jas Bains, Hafod Chief Executive and Kay Martin, Principal of CAVC, establishes three key initiatives including:

  • The Hafod Leadership Development Programme and in particular, their Learn to Lead and current first line managers programmes.
  • Apprenticeships
  • Health & social care qualifications

Jas Bains, Hafod Chief Executive, said:
