Clarendon choir bring Christmas cheer

Performing arts students at Clarendon Sixth Form College brought Christmas cheer to Hyde town centre on Saturday 8th December with musical performances and carol singing.

The students sang traditional Christmas carols and performed a series of set dance pieces for visitors.

They were also joined by Father Christmas and his helpers along with craft and gift stalls for a ‘Christmas shopping event’ promoting Hyde town centre and the Clarendon Square shopping centre.

Councilor Denise Ward, said: “This Christmas shopping event in Hyde marks a 17 day countdown to Christmas in the town centre and with a programme of live entertainment to get everyone feeling festive, it’s no wonder that this event attracted so many visitors and shoppers.”
