‘Appy’ New Year, from Barking & Dagenham College!

Two fitness apprentices 18 year old Harry Gilham from Hornchurch and 20 year old Millie Diedrick from Hainault were the first to test the new app

Get fit for 2019: Barking & Dagenham College’s Fitness Centre has launched a new app to help make getting fit this New Year easier.

Local people can view and book classes etc. at the touch of a button.

Liana Mathurin-Brown, Sports & Facilities Manager at Barking & Dagenham College explains: “They no longer need to bring their gym membership card with them; all they need is their phone.  They can also stay up-to-date on current classes, events, promotions and offers. “

Two fitness apprentices that work in the College’s Fitness Centre, 18 year old Harry Gilham from Hornchurch and 20 year old Millie Diedrick from Hainault were the first to test it.

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get fit, then you could try out the gym for free this January: The Fitness Centre is currently offering a free 1-week guest pass for downloading the app.

Simply download the free ‘MemberMe+’ app and select ‘BDC Fitness Centre’ in the app.
