From education to employment

Real Housewife Dawn Ward dazzles Kirklees College students with inspiring beauty talk

Real Housewife and successful businesswomen Dawn Ward made her Kirklees College debut on Tuesday 22nd January as she visited the Huddersfield Centre to discuss all things health and beauty.

Students from beauty and media make-up were treated to an inspirational talk and demonstrations from the highly successful owner of Skulpt, a private non-surgical Aesthetic clinic that specialises in treatments for the skin, face and body.

Dawn provided demonstrations including a Bloomea treatment (advanced MDA and Light Therapy), Shockwave Therapy and a smokey eye makeup look.

Dawn is perhaps best known for her appearance on ITV’s The Real Housewives of Cheshire and is hoping that visiting the college will reinforce and give students the confidence to achieve their goals and meet their aspirations and dreams.

“Dawn is a great example to students of a successful businesswoman who has achieved her goals and more and was a really motivating tool for our students to see what they can strive towards and how hard work and determination really does pay off. As a celebrity personality Dawn is really looked up to and she made a big impact on our students and has been a very positive role model to them,” said Elona Thomas, Curriculum Area Manager – Hair & Beauty, Creative, Media, Hair, Beauty & Hospitality.

Kirklees College trains hundreds of students every year for the hair and beauty industry, boasting state of the art facilities and the latest innovative techniques, as well as offering salon treatments to the public across their Huddersfield and Dewsbury campuses at a reduced rate.

Anyone interested in studying a hair and beauty course can come along to the College’s open days on Saturday 26th January 2019 (Huddersfield) and Tuesday 31st January 2019 (Dewsbury) to find out more.
