Richmond, The American International University in London, announces new Sir Cyril Taylor International Foundation scholarships for postgraduates.

The University is pleased to announce 25 full or partial scholarships for postgraduates, providing additional support for international students.

The Sir Cyril Taylor International Postgraduate Scholarships will be available to cover accommodation costs and/or tuition fees for international students who have received an offer to study a postgraduate programme at Richmond starting in September 2019 or January 2020. 

Professor Lawrence Abeln, President of Richmond, said, “Since Richmond was founded in 1972 by the social entrepreneur and politician Sir Cyril Taylor, the University has had a strong social mission.   Sir Cyril Taylor’s vision was that Richmond would be a community with, 'A scholarly yet social purpose’ and for all students to have access to international learning opportunities,  regardless of any differences in ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender or economic status.

“This programme of scholarships from the Sir Cyril Taylor Foundation will keep Sir Cyril’s vision alive, providing greater access to excellent learning for students who may not otherwise have had the opportunity.”

“I’m delighted to be able to announce these scholarships which will provide a real opportunity to help outstanding students from around the world fund their studies with us.”

The Scholarships are available for the resident citizens from the following countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, the United States and Vietnam.

To qualify for these Scholarships, applicants must have been offered a Conditional or Unconditional place to study at Richmond.  They also need to demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum CGPA 3.0 or international equivalent degree classification and have English Language Proficiency with an IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each component.

In order to apply, students need to complete and submit the Scholarship application as outlined on Richmond’s website.  The deadline for submission of application forms is 1 June 2019 for postgraduate programmes commencing in August 2019 and 1 November 2019 for postgraduates programmes commencing in January 2020.
