From education to employment

An evening dedicated to apprenticeships at Barnsley College

Potential new apprentices will have the opportunity to find out about the wide range of apprenticeship programmes on offer at Barnsley College on Wednesday 6 March from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak to tutors, find out about the range of support services available to them and see how the College helps its students to reach their potential.

Apprenticeships are a career path that allow you to enter the world of work, gain knowledge and skills and get paid whilst acquiring hands-on work experience. Anyone aged 16 or above can apply to be an apprentice, even if you are already employed. They are available on three levels, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher, so you can gain qualifications up to degree level whilst avoiding student debt.

With over 100 apprenticeship programmes available in industry sectors including Accountancy; Business; Catering and Hospitality; Childcare and Education Professions; Construction; Creative and Digital Media; Engineering; Health and Social Care Professions; Management; Sport; Travel and Tourism and Warehousing and Logistics, we’re sure we’ll have the apprenticeship for you.

Yiannis Koursis, Barnsley College Acting Principal, said:

“We understand that choosing the right College and the right apprenticeship is a difficult decision. Here at Barnsley College we offer a wide range of apprenticeships and lots of support to help our students succeed and go on to achieve the career they dream of. Our Apprenticeship Open Evening is an ideal opportunity to find out more and to have a chat with our friendly and knowledgeable staff. We look forward to welcoming you to the College on Wednesday 6 March.”
