Andreas Schleicher, OECD Education Director, questioned by Education Committee Fourth industrial revolution inquiry: Tuesday 26th February at 10am 

The Education Committee continues its inquiry into the fourth industrial revolution with an evidence session questioning Andreas Schleicher, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Education Director. 

Andreas Schleicher, a leading expert on global education trends, will bring an international perspective to questions about the challenges and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution in the UK. Questions during the session are likely to focus on how different countries are meeting the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and how curriculum and assessment can prepare for it in terms of developing in-depth subject knowledge as well as skills such as problem solving, creativity and communication.  

The session is also likely to examine the role of technology in the classroom and the OECD Education 2030: The Future of Education and Skills project.
