The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) list of qualifications approved for funding for 14 to 19.

Overview

The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) list of qualifications approved for funding 14 to 19, gives you information about which qualifications are approved for funding for students who are at least aged 14 but are not yet 19.

We approve each qualification in accordance with its suitability for students in the following age categories:

• Pre – 16
• 16 to 18
• 18+

This list was formerly known as the section 96.

Public funding is considered for qualifications that we have approved for funding 14 to 19. For some funded institutions, such as maintained schools and academies, qualifications have to be approved for funding 14 to 19 for them to be delivered to young people.
