Barnsley College is offering the ideal course for those looking to work with children in education or social work, or advance their career in those sectors.
The Access to Higher Education in Childcare course is designed for mature students who want to study at university but do not currently have the necessary qualifications to apply.
The course offers an ideal route to higher level study for those looking to work in roles such as Early Years Practitioner, Hospital Play Therapist, Teacher, Social Worker or Youth Worker.
Study will run for a year and students will be required to spend two days a week in College and one day on placement.
Course Leader Karen Mason said:
“This course is designed for mature students who wish to study to either establish a career working with children, families or in education, or those currently working in those areas who would like to move into more advanced roles.
“The course is structured so students can organise their studies around their existing commitments.”
