Details

This report sets out the recommendations on delivery arrangements for children’s social care in the event of local authority reorganisation.

It recommends an alternative delivery model separate from the local authorities if they split into two local authorities.

It follows a MHCLGconsultation on local authority reorganisation held in November 2018 and an Ofsted report published on 13 November 2018 that concluded that services had significantly deteriorated since inspection in 2016.

DfE issued a statutory direction to Northamptonshire county council on 30 November 2018.
