South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) Hairdressing and Barbering students host end of year fashion show

South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) Hairdressing and Barbering students are hosting an end of year fashion show in partnership with Main Street My Street Bangor at 7pm on Thursday 23 May at SERC Bangor Campus, Castle Park Road, Bangor.

Judith Magill, Lecturer in Hairdressing at SERC said, “We are delighted to be working with Main Street My Street Bangor, who are supporting the event which promises to be a great evening out. Tickets, a steal at £10, are on sale at DV8 Bangor or from SERC’s Hairdressing Reception at our Bangor Campus. All proceeds to Action Mental Health.

“The end of year show will be one of the highlights of the year for the students, from Level 3 Hairdressing and Level 2 Barbering, who will be working under pressure to put all their skills into action, meeting a real brief for hairstyling at a live fashion show.

“As well as showcasing all the latest hair trends and styles, for men and women, the show is all about the latest summer fashions from local stores and there promises to be something for all ages.   If you have never been to a fashion show before, we encourage you to come along.   It’s a great way to get ideas for a new hair style for summer or adding to your wardrobe whether you are heading to the beach, a festival, a summer barbeque or want to see what’s bang on trend.”

Sarah Robinson, Project Manager, Main Street, My Street Bangor, said,  “We are really delighted to be partnering with the SERC Hairdressing and Barbering students in their end of year show. We are looking forward to helping the students fundraise for Action Mental Health as well as celebrate their successes and skills achieved throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for the Main Street retailers, Menarys, Top Shop, Excel Clothing and DV8 to showcase the wide range of fashion and style available right around the corner from the College. We are all about supporting local – and this is a great way to do it!”
