Marco Pierre White plays host to Cardiff and Vale College Hospitality and Catering students

Hospitality and Catering students from Cardiff and Vale College have been given an opportunity to grill celebrity chef Marco Pierre White at his restaurant in the Capital.

Learners Ieuan Jones, Emily Church and Nia Williams were taken on a tour of Marco’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill restaurant and kitchen at the top of Hotel Indigo in Cardiff before meeting the man himself at an exclusive Wine and Dine event. The students got to talk about careers in Catering industry with Marco and were given signed copies of his book Essentially Marco.

CAVC Hospitality Lecturer Tony Awino said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet one of the UK’s top chefs and restauranteurs.

“Ieuan, Emily and Nia were wonderful ambassadors for the College and I’m sure this is an experience they will hold dear for many years to come.”

Victoria Milner, restaurant General Manager, said: “Our Wine and Dine event went down a treat and we were delighted to have had the Cardiff and Vale College students along to experience it first-hand.

“We hope they were inspired by Marco and our team here, and wish them every success as they complete their studies. They’re the future of the industry and hopefully one day we might see them back here at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill.”

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill is based in Hotel Indigo Cardiff, which is operated by leading hotel management company RBH.
