Annual design and art exhibition to ‘draw’ crowds

Design and art lovers are in for a treat this summer, with Borders College about to host its annual exhibition of work by the art & design and graphic design students.

Featuring work from the NC Art & Design, HNC Art & Design and HND Graphic Design classes, visitors can expect to see everything from self-portraits to digital imagery, as well as more traditional mediums such as pencil, paint and print.

The event will take place from Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th June, 10am – 4pm, and all members of the public are welcome to attend. An array of creative work and individual styles will be on offer, and staff and students will be on hand to provide guests with guidance and information.

As part of the event, students’ work from throughout the year is considered and curated by lecturing staff in collaboration with the students themselves, and visitor feedback is welcomed.

Curriculum Learning Manager Heather Fisher commented:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the art & design and graphic design students to showcase their work to the public. The quality of design and art on show is exceptional, with a diverse array of material on offer. This is a traditional end-of-year event and a huge amount of professionalism and effort goes in to the displayed work and event set up. We look forward to welcoming the public through the doors.”
