Sweeney Todd was performed at Hafren by Newtown college students

A delightfully macabre production of Sweeney Todd was performed at Hafren by Newtown college students on 23rd and 24th May 2019.  This play version of the story, by C.G. Bond involved the Level 2 and Level 3 UAL Performing Arts Students.

The terrifying tale of ‘Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ was brought together with well-executed drama, creative blood seeping props, effective dim lighting and a set which included a ‘barbers chair complete with trap door chute to allow dramatic exiting of Sweeney Todd’s victims.

The cast provided a fantastic performance that both chilled and thrilled the audience.
