SERC College Managers Achieve CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management

Four staff from South Eastern Regional College (SERC) and five from Walsall College in England have successfully completed their CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management as part of a joint venture between the two Colleges.

Paula Philpott, Head of SERC’s Learning Academy said, “We are delighted to work in partnership with Walsall College to tailor a management programme specific to the needs of the senior managers within both organisations.”

She added, “This strategic leadership programme was designed to build leaders capable of delivering large-scale change, able to make confident, informed decisions and communicate effectively. Staff from SERC and Walsall Colleges worked in partnership to complete business improvement projects, benefitting from the mentored support provided by senior managers in both organisations.

In summary, Paula said, “This programme was an excellent opportunity for SERC staff to continue to develop their strategic leadership skills whilst working collaboratively with another organisation. We look to expanding the programme by offering this opportunity to other organisations.”
