HIT Training Celebrates a 10-year Milestone

It was celebrations all-round last month as a record 54 members of the HIT Training team reach their 10-year anniversary with the company, representing a combined service of 621 years!

To mark the occasion, the long-standing employees were treated to a Champagne reception followed by a three-course lunch at the Michelin-Starred restaurant, Simpsons in Birmingham. During the lunch the group reflected on the past 10 years, sharing their stories of working with hospitality employers and apprenticeships across the country to develop high-quality training programmes.

Commenting on the event, Executive Chairman, John Hyde CBE, said: “It was great to recognise and celebrate the difference the team has made to the training and development of thousands of apprentices’ lives. We have all worked alongside each other for over a decade and so there was a wonderful family-feel to the day.”

Speaking about the occasion, Jill Whittaker, Managing Director for HIT training, said: “We are proud of all our colleagues at HIT Training, it was wonderful to celebrate the effort and dedication our longest-serving team members have made. We believe that helping people become the best they can be makes good business sense, so will continue to invest in and celebrate our team members’ career progression and achievements.”

Last year, HIT training was named for the third time in the prestigious Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For. At number 74, HIT Training rose up the list from 88th in 2015 and 92nd in 2014. The results showed how 90% of employees are proud to work at HIT Training and 93% believe they make a valuable contribution to the success of the company. This is also reflected in HIT’s high staff retention rates, with a further 166 team members passing their five-year anniversaries since the event at Simpsons.
