Sunderland College students celebrate #VocationalResults2019

Students at Sunderland College, today celebrated their outstanding achievements, as part of a national results day dedicated to vocational qualifications.

The students, who studied a wide range of vocational qualifications in areas such as the creative arts, business, applied science, computing, health and engineering, were invited to the college’s Arts Academy to receive their results and celebrate together.

Individual student achievements include 19-year-old Chloe Tumilty from Sunderland who gained a triple distinction (DDD) in Level 3 BTEC National Foundation Diploma Engineering. She was originally the only female in her engineering class and is an advocate for inspiring women into engineering. She will be heading to Lincoln University to study electrical engineering.

19-year-old Jack Miller, also from Sunderland, studied A-Levels for a year, before deciding to transfer to BTEC Applied Science. He gained triple distinction (DDD). He had four unconditional offers for university and has decided to study biomedical science at Northumbria University.
