City of London Academy Islington celebrate 100% A-Level pass rate

Hard work and dedication has paid off for students at City of London Academy Islington as they celebrate A-Level results today (15/08).

Sixth formers at the Prebend Street school achieved a 100% pass rate, with almost half of all grades awarded at A* to B.

The academy, which opened in September 2008 and celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year, was recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in March 2019.

Clare Verga, Executive Principalat City of London Academy Islington, said:

I am delighted for our students. These results are a testament to their hard work and the outstanding support they received by their teachers.

“Many of our pupils are progressing to university to continue their studies. I would like to wish them continuing success in their future endeavours.”
