The Sheffield College to Showcase Leading Technologies as Part of Learning Technology Roadshow Supported by C-Learning

The Sheffield College has announced it’s hosting a Learning Technology Roadshow on the 21st October to provide an opportunity for educators to experience a range of technologies having a positive impact on teaching and learning.

The event is supported by industry education technology specialists including Google Premier Education Partner C-Learning, BenQ, TextHelp, EdTechTeam UK, Neverware and more. The purpose of the day is to provide an opportunity to explore how cloud first technologies can enhance curriculum innovation in Schools, Colleges and Universities through solutions that are already proven to be impactful.

Patrick McGrath, Education Technology Strategist at TextHelp said:

The events by the C-Learning team are outstanding for the simple reason that they focus on teaching and learning. One of those rare events that are genuinely by educators for educators, and something that we are delighted to be a part of. We feel a great synergy with the C-Learning team – their events share our ethos by successfully delivering technology concepts that drive pedagogy and better outcomes for students. It’s a ‘practice first’ event, with great technology there to underpin learning. The Texthelp team will be showing us how we can build inclusion into the heart of learning for every student – using just a few technology tools. By exploring the universal design for learning (UDL) framework, they’ll show how small changes in our approach to planning can make a real and positive impact for all.”

Jamie Smith, Executive Chairman of C-Learning commented:

This event provides a superb opportunity for educators to meet and discuss the application of proven technologies as they apply to improving learning outcomes in an informal space supported by industry and innovative expert educators from across the sector.  We are thrilled to be at The Sheffield College where some brilliant technology enabled innovation in teaching and learning is taking place and experts like Steven Spence, Teaching and Learning Innovator at The Sheffield College, will be on hand to share experiences and insights into emerging pedagogical practice. We are running two blocks of sessions on the day, one in the afternoon, one early evening, to enable people to attend easily around busy schedules and we look forward to welcoming people on the day”.

Will Smith, Head of European Operations at Neverware said:

C Learning have a proven track record of listening to their customer’s challenges and creating a sustainable strategy for a move to cloud technology. We have worked with them on many deployments both large and small and together have delivered the most cost-effective and efficient way of simplifying end user experiences in education”.
