From education to employment

Interactive Career Development Platform: More than a third of UK workers are overqualified for the position that they’re currently working in

More than a third of UK workers are overqualified for the position that they’re currently working in, according to the DfE’s Employer Skills Survey.

While education can be a stepping stone to progression, strong career management and business skills are also essential.

To help their students build these key skills, online learning provider ICS Learn have announced the launch of the Career Hub, a new career development platform for their students and alumni.

The interactive platform features more than a thousand resources and tools, including an interview simulator, CV builder, career assessments, employer films, and short courses in key business skills such as salary negotiation.

ICS Learn graduates can use the Career Hub resources alongside their new qualification to assist them in securing a new job or promotion.

Sean McCready, Director of Education and Skills at ICS Learn, said:

“We’re delighted to be able to offer these tools to our students to help them transition into a new career or develop in their current role.

“Many of our students are in the process of job hunting or beginning a new career, so these resources will be instrumental in helping them achieve their ambitions.

“We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our students, with unlimited tutor interaction, live online classes, and a dedicated student team, and our Career Hub is now another addition to the world-class support that we offer.”

ICS Learn is the UK’s most trusted online learning provider, with a Trustpilot rating of 4.8/5 from 4000+ independent student reviews. Students can study anywhere, at any time, from their mobile, tablet or laptop, making it easy to shape learning around their life.
