County Durham training provider, @_LearningCurve Group, has been successful in their retention of the gold accreditation from Investors in People.

The accreditation awards organisations that provide top class people management and keep staff at the centre of their growth and development.

As part of the assessment process, members of staff from Learning Curve Group met with a representative from Investors in People to discuss company benefits, job satisfaction and work-life balance.

A standout area within Learning Curve Group’s application was their extensive management learning and development programme which supports managers across the businesses to develop their leadership skills.

Chief Executive Officer, Brenda McLeish, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have retained our gold award for Investors in People. We’ve really invested in our workforce over the past few years in line with our company values to develop and empower our staff.

“I really think this showcases everything that Learning Curve Group has to offer as a brilliant place to work. I couldn’t be more proud of this achievement and it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built as an organisation which allows us to continually transform lives through learning.”

Learning Curve Group were previously awarded gold in 2017, but were reassessed in 2019 under the new framework where they retained their gold accreditation.

Founded in 2004, LCG is a provider of training and work-based learning, with a broad portfolio of provision that ranges from apprenticeships and flexible learning to training for the unemployed.

Earlier in the week staff and representatives from the Purple People Academy went to a prestigious event in London, where they were nominated for Best Apprenticeship Programme.

In the past two years the business has grown beyond recognition, with staff numbers almost double that of 2017, standing at 430 staff and 500 associates. Such rapid growth saw employees move into a brand new head office at the DurhamGate development in County Durham to house their ever-growing workforce.

Employees at Learning Curve Group have access to a range of benefits including a health and wellbeing plan, technology scheme and a saving scheme. They also work in state-of-the-art offices with a huge recreational space.

The IIP Gold win is just the latest accolade in a string of successes for Learning Curve Group as their growth continues to go from strength to strength.
