Improve your well-being with a Community course at Borders College

@BordersCollege – With the unprecedented changes over the last few months, it is vitally important, now more than ever, to take some time out and find a sense of balance in our lives.

Social distancing has become the ‘new norm’ and of course, this will be reflected in the way we deliver our courses over the coming months.

The team have been busy adapting the Community provision to meet the needs of learners throughout the Scottish Borders and beyond, and this Autumn will see all of our courses being delivered online.

We still have an exciting programme on offer, to ensure you will have an enjoyable learning experience and we are delighted to be offering new courses for this term, with a focus on health and well-being, as well as arts and crafts.

Our new courses include:

  • Astronomy and Astrophotography – an Introduction
  • Chat, Culture & Lifestyle – France
  • Chat, Culture & Lifestyle – Germany
  • Chat, Culture & Lifestyle – Spain
  • Childcare – an Introduction
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Gardening in Any Space
  • Leatherwork – an Introduction (Making a Wallet)
  • Make-up Artistry – an Introduction
  • Make-up Masterclass
  • Mindfulness
  • Money Management
  • National 4 Mathematics
  • Natural Beauty: How to Make Lotions, Creams and Body Butters
  • Presentation Skills

Participating in a Community course can be very rewarding, with students gaining new skills and qualifications, and it’s a great way to keep your mind and body stimulated while restrictions are still in place.

So if you are looking to develop a new skill or take up a new hobby, look no further than the Borders College Community Day and Evening courses.

In the interests of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we have made the decision this year to discontinue printing our course listing. To receive an electronic copy of our programme, please sign-up to our online mailing list.

Once signed up, you will receive our online newsletter with up-to-date information on our Community provision.
