Winners of Leicester College Adult Student Awards 2020

#FestivalofLearning2020 – @LeicesterColl has announced the winners of its Adult Student Awards 2020, an annual celebration to mark the achievements of adult students 

The awards were held virtually this year, as part of the Festival of Learning which is coordinated by the Learning and Work Institute.

The full list of winners and runners up includes:

Access to Higher Education award
Winner: June Bourne, Access to Higher Education: Science
Highly Commended: Adam Szucs, Access to Higher Education: Business Studies

Adult Apprentice award
Winner: Emily Anderson, Dental Nurse Advanced Apprenticeship
Highly Commended: Michelle Jones, Dental Nurse Advanced Apprenticeship

Adult Learner award
Winner: Daniel Garnett, Performing Musician Diploma
Highly Commended: Taila Norman, Access to Higher Education: Humanities

Adult Vocational Learner award
Winner: Liam Hawse, Security Sector Based Work Academy
Highly Commended: Inna Doncheva, ESOL and Business Administration

English, Maths and ESOL award
Winner: Devshi Modhwadia, all ESOL courses and Shantiben Modhwadia, ESOL Entry level 1
Highly Commended: Nilam Hassan, ESOL, and GCSE English and Childcare

Higher Education Award 
Winner: Harry Redman, Acting: Creative Performance Practice
Highly Commended: Halima Girach, Top Up Tourism and Events Management

A spokesperson for Leicester College said:
