Ufi-Backed Company Shortlisted For Industry Award

@Kinderly, who were awarded funding during @UfiTrust’s #VocTech Impact 2017 to develop a learning platform for Early Years Practioners, have been nominated in the Continuing Professional Development category at this year’s Teach Early Years Awards.

The Teach Early Years Awards 2020 finalists were announced this week with 6 products or services in each of the categories including Picture Books, Happy & Healthy, Exploration, and Communication.

Technology has changed how people of all ages learn and the shortlist has certainly affirmed the development of educational technologies – shortlisted items include voice animated learning, online phonics adventures, and an early exploration named ‘Once Upon An Atom’.

The development of the products & services on the shortlist ultimately benefits the young people who will be using the tools, tech, books, and other learning materials – but it is also hugely important that those working in Early Years are supported with the tools they need to do their jobs better.

Kinderly know that in order to deliver the best outcomes for children it is crucial that Early Years Practioners develop and grow their knowledgebase throughout their careers.

Kinderly Learn’s shortlisted platform puts the user in control and offers interactive bite-sized learning that can be done anywhere and anytime.

Alongside the CPD materials that the platform provides, it also reports on completed modules and learnt topics – which can then be used directly as evidence to show Ofsted, parents, and managers.

Ufi made an investment in Kinderly in December 2019, from Ufi Ventures which invests in companies developing digital technologies to give people and businesses the skills needed for work, now and in the future.

Joe Ludlow, Impact Investment Director for Ufi said:

Congratulations to Kinderly for being shortlisted in the Teach Early Years awards. The Kinderly Learn CPD platform offers really high quality CPD for Early Years Practitioners, and alongside Kinderly Together, the company helps these key workers develop new skills and apply them effectively to deliver better outcomes for children and stronger childcare businesses.

The winners will be announced in October this year.

You can read all of the finalists and follow the awards on the Teach Early Years website.
