Reward for Steve Willis Training’s Apprentice of the Year finalist

Leading gas, plumbing and electrical Apprenticeship provider Steve Willis Training (@Steve_WillisLTD) is celebrating the success of gas apprentice Marcus Piper. He recently reached the final of the 2020 @Screwfix Trade Apprentice of the Year competition, beating over 15,000 entrants from across the country to make it to the final 10.

This is a fantastic achievement for 19 year old Marcus, who trains at Steve Willis Training’s Burgess Hill centre, and is in the first year of his apprenticeship with K & T Heating. It also shines a welcome spotlight on apprenticeships, and the opportunties they offer to both young people and employers.

Marcus came into the centre to be congratulated by Steve Willis Training MD Steve Willis and Dominic Halliday from K&T – socially distanced of course. They each presented him with £100 in Amazon vouchers as a reward for his success.

Steve said “As his trainer and employer, we both wanted to reward Marcus for his fantastic achievement. This shows apprenticeships can give young people the skills and confidence they need to do great things.”
