Local Students Set to Benefit From New WorldSkills UK Centre Of Excellence

The programme has been launched by WorldSkills UK, which aims to raise standards of apprenticeships and technical training across the UK, in partnership with education and skills charity NCFE. As part of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, tutors from the Colleges will have access to NCFE’s expertise in curriculum development and learn about leading techniques in teaching, learning and assessment practices from WorldSkills UK High-Performance Skills Coaches, who use learnings from international competitions to coach educators on skills and techniques used within industries.

In addition to its work with Further Education colleges throughout the UK, the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence will also play an important role in supporting the development of higher technical standards across qualifications and assessment development.
