Independent Training Services, part of Barnsley College, launch a new fully-funded employability course

Independent Training Services (ITS), part of @BarnsleyCollege, has launched a new pre-employment training course

Starting on Monday 12 October, the fully-funded training course is available to anyone aged 16 or over who is currently unemployed. It would be ideally suited to anyone with no prior qualifications or experience of working in the warehousing and logistics sector.

During the week-long course, students will study a range of topics that will prepare them for future employment, including Health and Safety Awareness; Mental Health Awareness; Motivation and Mindset to Work; CV and Interview Preparation; and Personal Development and Job Preparation for the Interview and Working Environment.

Upon course completion, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for and secure employment as a Level 2 Supply Chain Operative Apprentice working for a well-known, reputable logistics company. Apprentices will earn £9.30 per hour and have opportunities to work overtime and develop their career within this fast-paced environment.

Steve Hepworth, Managing Director of ITS Group, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who’s looking to secure employment to receive knowledge and skills that will help them in the interview stage. Those that are successful have an amazing opportunity to receive training, qualifications and gain experience of working for a globally renowned company.”
