University to host virtual US Election Debate with international experts

#GavinAsks – The @UniKent and its Brussels School of International Studies (@KentBSIS) will be co-hosting an expert panellist debate on the US elections on 22 October.

Chaired by Kent’s Chancellor Dr Gavin Esler and titled ‘Dare to Ask: US Election’, this virtual event will feature  an international panel of expert University academics and alumni. Beginning at 18.30 (GMT) the debate is free for all to view via Zoom.

The panellists will discuss the latest polls, leading protagonists and the key political issues influencing voters this November, as well as answer submitted questions from the virtual audience. 

The panel will include Dr Andrew Wroe, Senior Lecturer in American Politics in the School of Politics and International Relations; Dr Amanda Klekowski von Koppenfels, Reader in Migration and Politics at BSIS; and US-based Kent alumni Rima Hyder, Vice President External Communications for FactSet and Bart Smith, Chairman of Conservatives Abroad – Chicago.

‘Dare to Ask’ is Kent’s topical panel debate series, which aims to spark imagination and debate and connect audiences with experts from across the disciplines and the world.
