The Dallaway Steel Band visits Barking & Dagenham College for the College’s Black Culture Wednesdays

A taste of black culture @BarkingCollege #BlackHistoryMonth 

The Dallaway Steel Band is visiting Barking & Dagenham College each week for the College’s Black Culture Wednesdays, part of Black History Month.

The performances are part of a month-long programme of events showcasing and celebrating black culture; last Wednesday’s event also included Caribbean cuisine.

Agnes Melkvi, Learner Involvement Coordinator at the College said:

“We had a great time at the first of our Black Culture Wednesdays in celebration of Black History Month last week. A big thank you to The Dallaway Steel Band for sharing their wonderful sounds with us. We also enjoyed the yummy jerk chicken too!”
