Collabco helps transform learning in the FE sector

Collabco is delighted to share, that despite the recent challenges as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have continued their success in the FE sector with a number of new colleges becoming customers.

Collabco are proud to boast they now have over 50% of Scottish colleges using the myday platform and an increasing number of institutions across the UK choosing the solution for the first time or returning to myday.

In response to the pandemic, many colleges found they quickly needed a system which could support online learning and provide seamless and connected access to everything needed in their studies such as email, a virtual learning environment (VLE) and up-to-date news. Lots of colleges had outdated software which couldn’t support remote learning or software developed in-house which couldn’t cope with the increased demand.

With colleges like Middlesbrough extending their access to prospective students, they have been shown around the college through virtual tours, ensuring college recruitment plans can continue, minimising the negative impact COVID-19 has had on FE institutions. As young people take stock of their options, many are choosing to study, or return to study and having a system like myday is a great selling point for an institution during their recruitment drives.

Whilst increasing their coverage of the FE sector in Scotland, Collabco are also pleased to announce successes in the South-West and North-East where they historically lacked presence.

Adam Smith, Business Development Manager at Collabco commented:

“It’s great to see so many colleges realising the benefits that the myday platform can bring. Hearing fantastic feedback from our new customers about how their implementation is helping the student experience and increasing engagement is music to our ears and the reason why we do what we do. We look forward to welcoming many more colleges to our customer base and help transform learning in the FE sector.”
