Oaklands College to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week

The 14th annual National Apprenticeship Week 2021 will take place from the 8th to 14th February and aims to shine a light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices up and down the country. 

The week-long celebration of apprenticeships will showcase the impact apprenticeships have on young people, local businesses and the economy.

Apprenticeships offer people of all ages and backgrounds a high-quality route to skilled employment with the option to train at every level in a range of exciting professions like aerospace engineering, data science, teaching, law, nursing, and fashion. 

This year’s theme focuses on “Building the Future” and encourages colleges to help businesses, students and organisations to learn more about the benefits of apprenticeships. 

Celebrating the plugging of skills shortages within businesses and sharing the development of skills and knowledge required for a thriving career, Oaklands College; The only college in Hertfordshire to be recognised in the Top 50 Apprenticeship Providers in the country, have planned a variety of celebrations across their social media and digital platforms. 

The campaign will also highlight how employers can use apprenticeships to build a workforce with future-ready skills, with employers sharing their experiences of working with apprentices.
 In addition to this, Oaklands College will host a virtual webinar on their website on Friday 12th February, delivered by a variety of Apprenticeship Careers Leaders and Assessors, the webinar focuses on the positive impact of apprenticeship programmes, what they teach and the benefits to students and employers. 

Oaklands will be championing apprenticeships throughout the week commencing Monday 8th February across their social and digital platforms, to share the success of past and present apprentices at the college and encourage the next generation of employers and employees to consider apprenticeship programmes.
