India is the top international source market for students attending university in Sheffield

Recently, @casita_uni released an analytical report that showed that India is the top international source market for students attending university in Sheffield with an average cost of £112 per student per week.

The report stated that Indian students represented 26% of the overall student bookings in Sheffield, followed by Taiwanese students (13%) and Malaysian students (8.65%). 

Casita used data from Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Egyptian students to calculate the average room spend per week in Sheffield according to the student’s nationality.

Overall, in the UK, Sheffield came 4th on the list for average weekly spend on student accommodation.

Further exploration of the data showed that 50.9% of student bookings at Casita were for an en-suite room while 38.60% were for studio rooms and 1.37% were for twin rooms.
