East Sussex College to host degree open events this June

East Sussex College

East Sussex College (@WeAreESCG) will be hosting its first open event in over a year when they welcome people to find out more about their award-winning degrees at the end of the month.

From Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th June, the College will welcome prospective students into its campuses in Eastbourne, Hastings, and Lewes for four physical events, so they can learn more about the degree opportunities and get a feel of what it’s like to study there – something that has really been missed over the last 12 months.

Running from 4:30pm until 6:30pm, Tuesday through to Friday, the small-scale events are perfect for anyone thinking about starting a degree this year or next year.

Visitors will be able to talk to subject leaders about their degree courses, have a tour of the campuses, ask questions about student finance, and, at Station Plaza on Friday 25th, will be able to see the incredible artwork of this year’s graduating artists and designers.

David Fowler, Head of Higher Education at East Sussex College, said,

“We’re really excited to be putting on some small-scale events in person! It’s been so long since we were able to welcome people into our campuses, we’ve really missed being able to show them around.

“This is an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking about starting a degree to come and find out more, talk to our expert lecturers, and see why studying with us is a really attractive option.

“We offer lots of different degree courses with fantastic support and really great success rates, so you don’t have to worry if you’ve been out of education for a little while, or if you have other commitments while you study.

“If during the pandemic, you’ve decided to change your career goals or you want to retrain or reskill, then our degrees can open up so many opportunities for you, not just in the local area, but nationally and internationally.”

As well as finding out more about the degree courses, people will also be able to hear more about the exciting halls of residence being developed in Hastings on Cambridge Gardens, which opens this September, and Havelock Road at the former University of Brighton building, which opens in September 2022.

The College is taking precautions in line with government guidelines to ensure the events are safe and covid-secure. Guests will need to sign up for each event on Eventbrite.
