The Talent Foundry’s annual Rock Assembly is to encourage young people to ‘think big’ about their futures
The aim of @Talent_Foundry’s annual Rock Assembly is to encourage young people to ‘think big’ about their futures and booking is now open for this amazing and inspirational day, which is completely free for schools.
The Talent Foundry is an independent education charity, and their mission is to increase social mobility by helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds discover what they are amazing at.
This year the Rock Assembly Futures Fair will be comprised of a range of interactive online workshops hosted by employers, which will offer your students the chance to engage with various sectors and industries throughout the day in a virtual careers fair. The workshops and activities will open students’ eyes to a range of apprenticeship programmes, school leaver opportunities, and higher education opportunities available to them.
There will also be a live performance and Q&A hosted by the Dixon Brothers (KISS FM.) Previous performers have included Professor Green, The Vamps and Razorlight!

Amy Leonard, MBE, Chief Executive at The Talent Foundry said:
“In the United Kingdom, parental income is still the single strongest indicator of educational attainment. The Talent Foundry is committed to addressing this, by levelling the playing field of opportunity so that every child can achieve their full potential, regardless of their socio-economic background.
Though we cannot hold the Rock Assembly in Wembley Arena as we would normally do this year, holding it virtually will offer students some fantastic opportunities to speak with professionals from a range of well-known organisations. Any schools interested in taking part should get in touch with us to see if they are eligible as soon as possible as the workshops are filling up quickly.”
The Talent Foundry’s programmes, and events are only open to schools with higher-than-average numbers of pupils eligible for pupil premium funding within their local authority.
This year’s Rock Assembly will be held online on the 30th of September. The first Rock Assembly was held in 2011 and nine have been held since then with around 100,000 students attending.
The Talent Foundry is an independent education charity offering a range of fully funded opportunities to schools and colleges across the United Kingdom. They have 1,600 schools in their network and 600,000 students have benefitted from their programmes.
