Lifetime Training (@Lifetime_UK) has been named Top Training Provider of the Year at the annual RateMyApprenticeship Awards (@ratemyapp_ship) 2021 on 15th July. Originally named number one in 2019, Lifetime has once again secured its position at the top spot in the Top 50 Training Providers category.

Lifetime was also awarded Best Development Programme in partnership with Iceland Foods. Last year, Lifetime won Best Training Provider and Employer Partnership with Iceland, so is delighted to have maintained its winning streak this year. Mitchells and Butlers, another of Lifetime’s partners. were also a finalist in this new category.

Eleven other employers partnered with Lifetime were also featured in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers award category. This included Whitbread winning two regional awards, as well as Iceland Foods, McDonald’s and Mitchells & Butlers all having finalists in the apprentice award categories.

Lifetime’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sean Cosgrove, said:

We’re incredibly proud to be named Top Training Provider. It’s decided by the learners themselves, who are by far the most important judge of any training provider.

“The award is testament to the commitment from our dedicated team and partners to create a supportive and nurturing environment for all learners. With our regular learner feedback surveys, we’re continuously evolving and reshaping the learner experience.

We’re elated to have also won Best Development Programme award with Iceland Foods. Our partnership has gone from strength to strength, so we’re delighted for our collaborative partnership to be recognised. Together, we’re delivering apprenticeships that provide a real opportunity for structured and achievable development, so Iceland’s colleagues can really thrive.

“I’d like to applaud our employer partners who featured in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers award. Congratulations to Greene King, McDonald’s, Marston’s, Mitchells & Butlers, KFC, Whitbread, ALDI, Iceland, Post Office, NHS and Premier Foods, who were all recognised for their continued excellence as employers of apprentices.”

Laura Forrest, Training and Development Manager at Iceland, has said

“We’re really excited to have received the Best Development Programme 2021 award. At Iceland, one thing really matters, and that is our people. So, we’ve been 100% committed to embedding our apprenticeship training as part of our overall training and development approach.

The great news is…it’s worked. We have around 92% of our learners on our development programme with Lifetime and would recommend it to anyone thinking about an apprenticeship. Our partnership with Lifetime will continue to be an important part of our apprenticeship journey moving forward.”

The event was a real success, albeit virtual. It included thought-provoking conversations about wellbeing and mental health led by special guest Dr Alex George, who serves as the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador within the Department for Education.

This is the seventh year of the annual RateMyApprenticeship Awards, which celebrates the achievements of apprentices, schools, colleges, employers and training providers.
