From education to employment

41 Tuition Providers boost education road to recovery

41 Tuition Providers have successfully joined the National Tutoring Programme (@NTProgramme) following its significant expansion in Year 2.

41 Tuition Providers who successfully passed the robust quality, safeguarding and evaluation standards have now been officially accepted onto the NTP framework to support state-funded schools across England. Tuition Partners will provide targeted support to pupils aged 5-16 through small groups or one-to-one sessions. The aim is to provide high-quality tuition to over 500,000 pupils this year alone.

Karen Guthrie, NTP Programme Director, commented:

“Following the launch of our new Open Access scheme, we are absolutely delighted to welcome the first wave of accredited Tuition Partners to the NTP. High-quality tutoring has been proven to boost attainment by up to five months, making it absolutely vital for education recovery. It’s fantastic to see that support for pupils is already underway across the country.

“Thanks to our committed Tuition Providers, schools can now quickly access the support they need. Their vast expertise and experience adds value to schools and the overarching NTP proposition, which also includes Academic Mentoring and School-Led Learning. The beauty of Open Access is that we can continue to add quality Tuition Partners throughout Year 2 of the programme, so we can grow and build upon our tutoring success.”

In response to school demand, the NTP’s Open Access scheme is opening its second application window later this month.

Karen Guthrie, NTP Programme Director, adds:

“Schools are already telling us how much their pupils benefit from face-to-face tutoring. Whilst the Open Access scheme is open to all tutoring providers, we very much welcome applications from organisations who can support in-person pupil learning within the West Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber, South East, North East, North West, East Midlands and South West.”
