From education to employment

Global Apprenticeships models, what can we learn from Scotland?

We talk to David Harbourne, director of policy and research at the Edge Foundation, about the different global Apprenticeship systems and model few that few  have heard much about, the Scottish Apprenticeship model.

He says the Swiss system is fantastic model, but 70% of young people in Switzerland are on Apprenticeships and this is very different to the UK.

Harbourne also discusses the Apprenticeship system in New Zealand, where they have re-booted their Apprenticeship programme and have a very successful approach to engage with employers.
