Edexcel and Skillsmart Develop BTEC Lingerie Level 2
“
BTEC and Skillsmart are launching a new Lingerie Level 2 BTEC for the retail industry in early 2005. Gary Ward, Communications Officer at Edexcel explained: “The course has been developed in conjunction with the Retail Sector Skills Council Skillsmart and is to be utilised by large retailers such as Debenhams, Liberty, Arcadia and lingerie manufacturer Triumph in the New Year.”
The majority of the learning will be delivered in store by in-house trainers, for the 30-hour course. The course has been developed as a need for transferable industry wide skills in the retail lingerie industry was identified. The main driver behind the development came from Beverley Paddey from Skillsmart, who previously worked for Mothercare.
Edexcel are enjoying lots of press at the moment through working with the Sector Skills councils, there has been a lot of press around the Vehicle Immobilisation (Car Clamping), as well as this new Lingerie BTEC Level 2.
