Marketing Team Celebrates

The Marketing team at Edinburgh’s Telford College are celebrating after being shortlisted for two awards. Their 2004 Promotions Campaign was highly commended in the Integrated Marketing Campaign category of this years Scottish Further Education Unit (SFEU) awards; and their promotional eDISK was shortlisted in the Best New Media section of the Heist Awards.

The SFEU Marketing Awards celebrate the high standards now reached by marketing professionals across the sector. Telford College has reason to be hopeful, since last year the team took the silver award with their campaign to promote the College Open Day through TV, radio and press advertising.

The Heist Awards are an annual competition aiming to encourage and reward good practice in the marketing of universities and colleges. It is open to all providers of further and higher education in the UK and other organisations working to promote opportunities in these universities and colleges. Edinburgh’s Telford College was shortlisted for the success of the eDISK developed by the Marketing Team to encourage international recruitment. The business card size disk can be used on any computer CD drive and gives access to general information, pictures, video footage and commentary about the College.

Other universities and colleges nominated in the New Media category are Central St Martins College of Art and Design, Dudley College of Technology, Keele University, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Stirling. The winner will be announced at a presentation event in April.
