Series of summer conferences designed to share best practice.

The Quality Improvement Agency ““ the organisation responsible for the drive for excellence in the FE sector ““ is running a series of free summer conferences designed to share and build upon best practice.

As the single organisation responsible for helping to improve the quality of teaching & learning in the sector, the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) wants to hear from you ““ leaders and managers and those working with them on the quality improvement agenda.

At a series of four summer conferences, QIA will both share its vision for quality improvement in the sector and your examples of best practice so they can be built on and enable others to hear of your successes.

As part of the conference, a unique pre-recorded interview with three of the Department of Education’s Ministers ““ Bill Rammell MP, Jim Knight MP and Phil Hope MP ““ will be shown. The ministers will be answering questions from delegates and sharing their thoughts on the issues that matter most.

There are a range of practical workshops and interactive sessions on key issues for the further education system as well as examples of effective practice and advice. Plus QIA will be previewing the results of a thought-leading research piece on peer review and self regulation, and launching the QIA Excellence Gateway ““ an online portal which gives further education staff access to an unrivalled range of high quality, best practice information and guidance.

QIA conferences will be taking place throughout June:

London, Inmarsat EC1 ““ 25 June

Taunton, Somerset College ““ 26 June
