If you’re considering applying for an apprenticeship, make sure you attend the Centre for Apprenticeships Recruitment Evening on Thursday 18 January 2018 at Havering College’s Ardleigh Green campus.

Havering College offer a full range of apprenticeship courses to suit all. Our apprenticeship team will be on hand during the course of the evening to help you find a course that meets your academic and career aspirations. Apprenticeship programmes are not restricted to specific start dates and are delivered all year round, so it’s not too late to enrol.

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is open to anyone aged 16 and over and typically would consist of working four days per week with one day at college. You will be going to work, earning a wage, gaining experience and learning valuable skills on the job. You will essentially be earning while you’re learning.

There are two options on how to apply: You can approach an employer and ask Havering College to provide the training, or apply for an apprenticeship vacancy advertised at Havering College.

The on-programme support that Havering College will provide you with throughout the duration of your apprenticeship is second to none. You will be given a dedicated coordinator to work with you, your employer and your tutors. With regular progress reviews, we are here to guide you through. You will also benefit from our industry standard facilities.

At the end of your apprenticeship, the college will work with you and your employer to help you go on to the next level of training or gain full-time employment, either with your current employer or another employer the college has access to.

Because of the skills, knowledge and qualification you will gain from your apprenticeship, Havering College can help you get to the level employers are looking for.
