How can unions support apprentices?

Later this month TUC Yorkshire and Humber and unionlearn are holding an event in Sheffield to answer the question “How can unions support apprentices?”

This event will look at:

·      * New tools available to union reps which support diverse groups

·      * How unions support apprentices and those coming into the workplace

·      * What negotiations we should be engaging in to ensure every group in society gets a chance to take up an apprenticeship

·      * The work unions can do in engaging with young people before they enter the workplace.

Bill Adams, TUC Yorkshire and Humber Regional Secretary said; “The event will be a chance for unions and reps to come together and learn about what we are doing to support apprentices across the UK. It will help you find out how you can support apprenticeship programs in your present work place.”

The event takes place on Tuesday 26th March from 10.00 to 14.00 and is being held at the Showroom Cinema, Sheffield.

Places are free, and lunch will be provided. For more information and to book your place go to the unionlearn event page.
