Life after Graduation

Michelle Dorise-Turrall graduated from @NPTCGroup of Colleges after studying a BA (Hons) in Business & Management at Brecon Beacons College.

The degree course which is run in conjunction with Glyndwr University allows students to gain a degree on their doorstep with learning taking place at the Brecon Beacons campus.

Michelle who studied the three-year degree fancied a challenge and wanted to further her knowledge within business. She adds: “Since my children had grown up it seemed the perfect time to start something new and to gain a qualification in the process.”

The graduate who gained a first-class degree took a real interest in the marketing module with Michelle adding: “I can’t recommend the course enough, the lecturers guide you and steer you in the direction you want to go into.”

When asked why study at Brecon Beacons College Michelle said:

” It’s convenient, it’s literally right on my doorstep and they are so flexible, with me having kids I was unsure about how it would work but the lecturers were on hand at all times allowing me to balance my home life and work.”

Michelle goes onto say: ” Because of the smaller groups you get so much more out of the course, there is more chance to sit down with your lecturers on a regular basis and gain more feedback. The flexible learning really drew me to the course.”

Michelle who gained immediate employment after graduation as a Business Development Manager at Credit union Wales adds: ” I hope to return one day to the College to carry out my PGCE, with the real dream of coming back to teach in the College where it all started for me.”
