Universities and the pandemic: Education Committee to question Higher and Further Education Minister

Higher and Further Education Minister Michelle Donelan

The Education Committee (@CommonsEd) is to question Higher and Further Education Minister @MichelleDonelan and leaders from the sector on the impact of Covid-19 on higher education and how universities have been adapting to the pandemic.

Witnesses are likely to be asked about how some universities are continuing with aspects of online and remote learning despite an announcement in the summer that in-person teaching could resume. There could also be questions on how the pandemic has affected the health and wellbeing of students and staff.

The meeting is also likely to cover what is being done to support disadvantaged students, widen participation and improve graduate outcomes.
