From education to employment

RAF intelligence team celebrates Apprenticeship first

Twenty members of the RAF have become the first learners to pass a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Intelligence Analysis.

The new qualification, accredited by SFJ Awards, was developed in partnership with Skills for Armed Forces for RAF intelligence analysts working in areas such as communications, imagery and operations.

The course also covers a number of transferable skills for roles outside the Armed Forces, including communication and leadership.

Skills for Armed Forces is part of the JSSC Sector Skills Council, which has a remit that covers more than 3.5 million workers – 13 per cent of the UK workforce – ranging from police forces to legal and financial services.
