Hundreds Visit Tresham’s Careers Fair

Tresham College of Further and Higher Education has hosted its biggest Careers Fair at the college’s Kettering campus where it welcomed more than 40 employers and nearly 1000 visitors from local schools and the college’s campuses across Northamptonshire.

Throughout the year Tresham provides advice and guidance to students about the various careers they can pursue once they complete their studies at the college and following on from the success of previous events the college held its third Careers Fair inviting visitors from local schools.

Supported by a variety of organisations including the NHS, British Army, Weetabix Food Company, Barratt Developments and various universities from across the country there was an industry expert for every student to speak to about working within hundreds of sectors.

Many Tresham students were also able to gain work placements and work experience opportunities with the companies who attended.

“We were delighted to have so many businesses support this event to make it the biggest and busiest for us. Organisations from a range of sectors were on hand to offer advice to college and school students about what they should consider when pursuing a career in their particular industry.

I am very pleased that the majority of organisations who attended were also able to offer work experience placements and even part time work to many of our students making it even more of a success. We are very grateful to everyone who attended the event and look forward to our next!”
