KPMG’S SUE KERSHAW APPOINTED TO UCL PROFESSOR ROLE

Sue Kershaw, Managing Director of Major Project Advisory at KPMG, has been named visiting Professor at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management at UCL.

In her new role, Sue will build stronger connections between academia and industry, applying her substantial years of practical experience to the university’s curriculum. Sue will teach her own concept of ‘progressive assurance’ to provide greater reliability, confidence and certainty when delivering complex major projects.

She will also support student development through a programme of industrial placements, mentoring and involving students in real-world assignments. 

Sue Kershaw, who is also UK Head of Infrastructure Programme and Project Management at KPMG, said:

“I have been involved with the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management in various capacities over the years, and the organisation has done an incredible amount to drive change within the project management space.

“Its work has been essential in equipping people with the skills required to build successful careers in the sector and I’m very much looking forward to getting started in the coming months, helping to shape the future of the sector and drive industry improvements.”

Prof Andrew Davies, Professor in the management of projects at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management commented:

Sue will help us build stronger connections between our teaching and industrial practice by helping us with industrial placements, mentoring, selecting real-world assignments for group work and developing new course material.”
